Terms of Service¶
Effective date: 31 August 2026
These terms govern use of Kimai for Jira (the App).
Authorized use¶
The App is available only to users authorized by the organization operating the relevant Jira Cloud and Kimai services (the operator). You must use the App only for purposes authorized by that operator and in accordance with its applicable policies, your Jira permissions, and your Kimai permissions.
Your responsibilities¶
You are responsible for the accuracy of time entries you create or edit through the App. Do not share your Kimai API token. If you believe your token or account has been compromised, reset the token and notify your organization's administrator promptly.
Service operation¶
The App synchronizes worklogs and timesheets between Jira and Kimai. Synchronization can be delayed or fail because of service availability, configuration, permissions, network connectivity, or invalid data. Jira and Kimai remain the respective systems of record; users and administrators should verify important time records in those systems.
Availability and changes¶
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, including to maintain security, resolve defects, or meet operational requirements. The App is provided without a service-level commitment unless the operator agrees otherwise in writing.
Data handling¶
Use of the App is also subject to the Privacy Policy. By using the App, you authorize the App to process the Jira and Kimai information needed to provide the synchronization features described there.
Support¶
For support, contact your organization's administrator or the support contact displayed on the App's installation page.
Changes to these terms¶
The operator may update these terms. The current version is published with the App documentation.
